Fabulous Cakes

I knew ombre cakes were becoming a trend, but we usually see them with beautifully coloured layers.
Now I found out that ombre frosting makes for gorgeous cakes too. Have a look!

Wedding Inspiration

A wedding day is not only very special and emotional for the bride and groom, but also for their parents.

If you're getting married and would like to thank your parents for their love and support, consider offering something special for them to wear on your big day.
This will remind them of how important it is for you to have them by your side on your wedding day and they'll feel part of it.

Party Food

Did you know you could use cookie cutters to make fruit and veggies stand out on your party table?
Any simple shape will give you endless possibilities to make your party food look yummy and fun!

You can make watermelon pops, great for a 4th of July party, or styled as magic wands, for a little girl's party.

You can make colourful fruit skewers, like these cute heart-shaped kabobs.

Or cut cucumber flowers for the base of a fresh Summer appetizer.

You could even get a specific cookie cutter to shape mini sandwiches, matching your party theme. These would be great for a child's themed birthday party!

Party Tables Inspiration

To give your party table a different and creative look, use a chalkboard table runner to write the names of the dishes on, instead of using labels.
I specially like the idea of using the chalkboard to identify the wines and pairings with arrows, in a wine tasting table. And I think it would be great to draw on, for a children's party.
What do you think?

Wedding Inspiration

Figuring out how to distribute your guests among the tables on your wedding can be a long and stressful process. That's when having some sort of seating chart can be a great help.

This is one of the best ideas I've found to make that task easier. You'll need a large piece of paper or board, different colour post-its and a few markers.
Simply draw the table arrangement of your reception, write the names of the guest on the post-it strips (using a colour code for different "categories") and place them on the tables, repositioning them when needed.

One of my favourite latest finds was this beautifully styled vintage popcorn bar, from Pen N'Paperflowers.

This idea would be great for a movie night, but really a good addition to any party. After all, who doesn't like popcorn?

Execution is very simple and there's not much prep time involved, which is great!
Simply display plain popcorn in big baskets or other containers, along with salt shakers with different seasonings, so the guests can customize their own bags of popcorn. Add some old fashioned sweet scoops for serving and brown paper bags and you're done! A cute and easy party table idea!
